Religious Stories or Spiritual Stories, Faith Stories or Inspiring Religious Stories
Religion is an important component of any culture; as such, it ends up playing a significant role in politics, social issues and ethical debates. Religion is also, therefore, involved in all sorts of news all around the world these days.
Spirituality can refer to an ultimate or an alleged immaterial reality; an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of their being; or the "deepest values and meanings by which people live." Spiritual practices, including meditation, prayer and contemplation are intended to develop an individual's inner life; such practices are alleged to lead to an experience of connectedness with a larger reality.
Traditionally, many religions have regarded spirituality as an integral aspect of religious experience. Whilst the terms spirituality and religion can both refer to the search for the Absolute or God, the Almighty.
Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is a monotheistic religion. It has much in common with religious stories and teachings of Judaism and Christianity, but Muslims believe that Holy Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was the final and ultimate prophet. Muslims also believe that the religious texts of the Jews and Christians have been corrupted by the hands of man over the passage of time. Islam incorporates many Biblical events and heroes into its own mythology. Stories about Musa (Prophet Moses) and Ibrahim (Prophet Abraham) form parts of Islam's scriptures. Noble Qur'an retells in detail the Jewish story of Yusuf (Prophet Joseph), who was sold to an Egyptian and the Christian story of Mariam [Mary, the mother of Prophet Jesus (pbuh)]. In both cases, it adds original details and an Islamic interpretation: for instance, in the Islamic version, Prophet Jesus speaks while he is still an infant and he is merely a miraculously-conceived human prophet, not the son of God. Muslims also don't believe in the concept of substitutionary or vicarious atonement (Christ died for us as sinners in order to our forgiveness and salvation).
Therefore, you shall devote yourself to the religion of strict monotheism. Such is the natural instinct placed into the people by God. Such creation of God will never change. This is the perfect religion, but most people do not know. (30:30)
