Asalam wa'alakium,
My name is Asiba and I have a problem that I'd like some help on. First thing first, my faith in Islam is unshakable and complete always has been, is and will be. Currently, I'm attending a Christian University to broaden my knowledge of other faiths as I increase my knowledge in my own faith as well. One of my New Testament professor has challanged me with a question. He told me that he knows his Bible has errors, yet they have old manuscripts to fall back on dating from very early. And I had replied to him that our Qur'an is errorless, it is the word of Allah (SWT) and my personal Qur'an at home is identical to the one that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had memorized. Clearly that is impossible for a non-believer to believe because they believe in human error. He asked me how can a Muslim believe prove that the Qur'an is errorless if we keep destorying (placing old Qur'ans in clean lakes and rivers or burning them when too old to use) them, without using the faith card, without saying that is faith and is improvable. I would like to know if anyone has done enough research on Islam about older and oldest Quranic texts and manuscripts, like the ones in Egypt. or perhaps even a copy of Tawhiid, Zabur or Ingeel. that maybe a strech but it's worth researching.
thank you,
Jazakum'allah khayr.
